ALEX + CODY // COZY WINTER WEDDING // YMCA CAMP ALEXANDER – WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI

Alex and Cody may have gotten married on the coldest day of the year, and my fingertips may have lost feeling for 2 weeks afterwards (no joke, it was a whopping thirty degrees below zero!!) but getting to witness and capture the special moments of their day made it all SO very worth it! I’ll never forget Alex’s genuine excitement as she was about to marry Cody, their private and hidden “first look” / exchange of letters, nuptials in a cabin filled with family and friends, and the gorgeous details that filled the romantic reception lodge at nighttime. Every little detail was so carefully thought out, I’m pretty sure everyone was tuning out the cold and tuning into their special celebration.

Almost all the details were handmade by Alex herself! The invitation suite and hand drawn map of the venue YMCA Camp Alexander, all the hand-lettered paper goods and signage, the homemade fudge boxes, and let’s not forget the FLORALS!! Can you believe this bride designed the bouquets, flower crowns, boutonnieres, corsages, reception decor ALL herself out of artificial flowers? I am still in awe. “Lush, neutral tones” were their wedding day vision, and when the bridal party all stood next to each other with their different shades of pastels, and their soft white & greenery bouquets, there was no better way to describe it.

After reading their vows and saying “I do” in front of all their loved ones, guests moved from the ceremony cabin to the reception lodge to be greeted by drinks and an apple cider bar, handcrafted photo booth, and homemade pies and fudge for dessert. This wedding had everything that entails a cozy, winter wedding! Warmest congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Griffith! Enjoy a few favorites from their wedding gallery!
