In honor of Whitney & Brandon’s wedding week I’ve decided to get off my blog hiatus and finally get around to sharing what I’ve been so busy with, this one being the first since we returned from our trip! I met Whitney & Brandon in May, they drove up from Illinois with their parents and pup Gracie to spend the afternoon exploring High Cliff with me! It’s funny, after our road trip out west it felt like we were coming home to flatland Wisconsin a.k.a dairyland (not much to see here)! I forget how beautiful Wisconsin really is, no we don’t quite have ocean or mountains but we are blessed with beautiful scenery. Lakes, cliffs, forests, bluffs, beautiful hiking trails. Whenever a couple comes to me for recommendations for their session location almost always High Cliff is on that list. It’s one of those places that has it all, and it’s only a 15 minute drive from me! Sometimes it takes a sweet family from Illinois to remind me of what I take for granted, they couldn’t get over how beautiful this place was!

I connected with Whitney & Brandon right away in our initial conversations. They are another adventurous couple who love exploring national parks, they even took a 35 day road trip to multiple different ones out west. Hey sound familiar? Plus they love dogs, so much that Gracie made the trip from Illinois! Brandon’s parents tagged along too and watched their son and future daughter-in-law twirl each other near the edge of the cliff (sorry parents for the near heart-attack!!) and they nonchalantly became my photography assistants (thanks guys!!) Super sweet family!

These two are getting married on my birthday this Saturday, and you know you love your job when you COULD have had the day off but didn’t want to. When Whitney & Brandon’s inquiry came along for their lavender/rustic barn wedding I knew I couldn’t pass this one up. I cannot wait to see it all come together and to celebrate their special day this June 30!!! Stay tuned cause you’ll be seeing them again soon! 😀 Here’s some favs from their session!
