Lexie + Jason | Intimate Brunch Wedding | St. James Farm Forest Preserve | Warrenville IL

You know those moments in life that are SO beautiful as they are happening, and you just wish you could freeze time and stay a little longer in them? Lexie and Jason’s wedding day was filled with these sweet little fleeting moments. Everyone let the love pour through, wearing their hearts on their sleeves and it was just so refreshing and wonderful to witness. Lexie and her dad’s sweet first look, Jason’s emotion as he read his handwritten vows, a sweet celebratory embrace from Mom, a sentimental toast from Grandpa, and their first dance to the song “Let’s Be Still” in a room filled with their closest people — I seriously get chills you guys. “Romantic” doesn’t even cut it. No tears came without laughter, and their day was so candid and FUN yet emotional and raw. One of my favorites & I feel so honored to be the one to freeze these moments to last through time.

I have to quick shoutout all the special personal touches included throughout their day. They held a tree planting ceremony and said “I do” in the woods of St. James Farm Forest Preserve, under an arbor that Lexie’s dad built himself. Grandma’s signature strawberry rhubarb jam served as take-home favors, and Lexie’s dad continued his handy skills to help make the donut wall that went hand-in-hand with their brunch wedding. Their cousin officiated and his wife arranged all the florals (and nailed it!). And as a nod to her Italian roots, Lexie passed out Bombonieres – a traditional Italian wedding favor to each woman in the family. From start to finish their day was so incredibly personalized and genuine, there’s no doubt how special Lexie and Jason are not only to eachother but to all the people around them!

We walked in as strangers but felt so embraced by all the love of this day. Thank you Lexie and Jason for inviting us in and making us feel like family. I’ll end it with one of my favorite quotes that Lexie’s grandpa used in his toast to the new bride and groom:

“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

Without further ado, here is their preview! And thank you to all the contributors (full vendor list below)! Enjoy!
