Couldn’t let this one slip away from me and not share it! Leslie & Luke just celebrated their one year anniversary, and seeing the reminder of images made me fall in love with these two + this day all over again! Leslie & Luke planned an incredible rustic/romantic wedding, and I loved getting shown little glimpses throughout their planning. The simple ivory and greenery woven throughout, with antlers and white pumpkins as subtle nods to the changing of the seasons. Leslie’s dress was a showstopper, Luke described her as his angel in his vows and I myself couldn’t think of a better word. These two together are magnetic. It’s easy to tell there is a deep love and understanding and care for one another, and they balance it all out by being SO playful and fun. You just want to be around their energy! At the very end of the day, as speeches and the first dances were wrapping, Leslie surprised Luke with an appearance by Bucky the Badger and everyone immediately began jumping around. Is there a better intro to get a dance party started?

I loved loved getting to know these two over the years and capture this incredible chapter for them! One thing is certain, other than their adoration for eachother they absolutely adore their little pup Maple. And recently they welcomed a new human addition! I could not be more happier for their growing fam! Congratulations Leslie & Luke on your Year 1+ counting & wishing you both all the best :)!

You guys! This session was SO much fun. As soon as we arrived to Luke’s family land, Leslie and him greeted us with so much energy, showing us around on golf carts, and introducing us to the different doggies. They had just gotten a mini dachshund named Maple early Spring and so Leslie and I had been comparing puppy notes during our quarantine. And my goodness was she the cutest little thing! They showed us the exact spot of their soon-to-be home where they will build on the family land. Right near the white weathered barn and backdrop view of the rolling hills in perfect position for every sunset to come (this Wisconsin girl at heart was very jealous!) We shared so many laughs in such a short amount of time and I left feeling so excited to see them again next September! Until then, enjoy the preview of their engagement session!
