Guys, getting out of the Fox Valley area for a change and exploring some new scenery was so inspiring! Chelsie and Tom picked an incredible place for their session, I mean Bender Park had it all. Overgrown roads, meadows, forest, and trails that led to the cliffs alongside Lake Michigan. I was so excited to start the session off with their adorable 3 year old girl Lila who ended up being just the CUTEST bundle of energy. After a few family takes we ventured off and made our trek to the cliffs. It was a blustery, dreary day but these two hiked a mile in dress shoes like champs and were down for all the crazy adventure! Chelsie & Tom met in Milwaukee their freshman year of college, Chelsie was an NBA Milwaukee Bucks cheerleader and Tom actually proposed to her in the Bucks arena, center court! I loved when Chelsie shared they wanted their day to be authentic, completely their style, their vibe. I am excited to see what they put together!

They are getting married next fall at The Enchanted Barn and this one’s gonna be a very special one for me. This remote gem in the countryside happens to be the very same place my husband and I got married in 2016. Planning our wedding is really what sparked me to get back in touch with my creative side and get started on this whole photography journey. After our day was over, I had unexpected post-wedding blues (it is a thing people)! And it wasn’t being a “bride” that I missed, but it was being a planner and a creative and being a part of projects that inspired me. I discovered I loved the wedding industry, all the light, love, pretty details, and I just knew in my heart I belonged in this world. Returning next fall (but this time on the OTHER side of the camera) will truly feel full circle. I am thanking my lucky stars this incredible couple found me and chose me to be a part.
